Leading With Vision, Winning With Purpose

Christopher Kraftick Wilmington College Ohio

Christopher “Chris” Kraftick, Class of 1998, has turned his Wilmington College beginnings into a purpose-powered career in collegiate athletics. A standout All‑Conference golfer at Wilmington, Chris also served as a student assistant basketball coach—an experience that sparked his passion for leadership in sports. After graduating with a degree in Elementary Education, he spent years as a PGA professional before moving into coaching.

At the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky, Chris led both the men’s and women’s golf programs for eight seasons, guiding his teams to six Mid‑South Conference titles and multiple top‑10 finishes at the NAIA National Championships—Coaching more than a dozen All‑Americans—and earning multiple Coach of the Year honors. Elevated to Athletic Director in 2016, he redefined the department’s identity with the #OneBigTeam culture, upgraded athletic facilities, expanded programs, and led the Patriots to record-breaking success—highlighted by three national championships in 2023‑24 and his selection as NAIA Athletic Director of the Year 2024.

A leader both professionally and personally, Chris was inducted into the Cumberlands Athletics Hall of Fame in 2020. He and his wife Jennifer reside in London, Kentucky, and are raising five children—Lynsey, Mason, Callie, Emory, and Keegan. When he’s not in the office, Chris can often be found still playing golf and enjoying family time.
